Whilst recently visiting the Algarve on holiday, we felt compelled to make a comment on how much we liked the beaches.

We stayed in Forte de S.Joao which has a large beach which we found very clean and well supported by life-guards, sunbeds and beach bars. We had several day trips and visited other beaches throughout the area. and particularly liked San Rafael, Gale and San Lorenzo.

We would like to also say what an invaluable help we found the freemap to be finding restaurants and bars of which some were (off the beaten track) especially made easy with the comprehensive street plans.
